Segway At Botanical Gardens

OVERVIEW

Ride through a botanical garden and zoological park on a Segway, a simple-to-operate personal transporter that allows you to easily see the wonders of nature. To move the Segway forward or backward, just lean forward or backward. A similar move steers the Segway left or right. With just two wheels, the Segway stays balanced, so all you have to do is to hop on, stand upright and lean one way or the other. Once you feel comfortable operating the Segway, you will set off caravan-style along the winding pathways. The gardens hold one of Noumea’s last dry forests, where you will likely see a variety of palm trees and araucarias, which are spiny evergreens more commonly known as monkey puzzle trees. The fauna is equally exotic as you may see giant geckos, highly intelligent notou pigeons and kagus, New Caledonia’s national bird, which is flightless and barks like a dog.
