Cruise Through Oyster Harbour

OVERVIEW

Look for wildlife while cruising the sheltered waters of Oyster Harbour. After boarding the vessel at Emu Point Landing, you will settle in for a relaxing journey around the harbor and up into the Kalgan River. Wildlife is abundant in these natural areas, and you may spot Australian pelicans, pied oystercatchers, and black-winged stilts. Farther upstream, where the water is less brackish, you are more likely to see wedge-tailed eagles, red-capped parrots and laughing kookaburras. Don’t forget to look for marine life, as giant eagle rays up to 17 feet long sometimes swim just below the surface and have even been known to leap out of the water.
