How fitting that the beach lies in the shadow of the island’s main airport. You will be welcome to while away the hours as you please with no schedule to follow other than your own. Feel free to lie back in a lounge chair in the shade of a beach umbrella or bask in the sun if you prefer. The sheltered waters are typically calm, crystal-clear and ideal for a refreshing swim. Start with a scenic drive and photo stop on your way to enjoy one of Tortola's beautiful beaches. Enjoy a swim in the crystal clear waters or just relax on the beach. Choice of beach is subject to change depending on sea and weather conditions. You'll be brought back to your ship or you can be dropped off in the downtown area.

Tucked away in Bermuda’s East End lies an unspoiled hidden paradise of pristine beaches. The Clearwater Beach Triangle will take you away from the beaten bath and crowded beaches to a series of 6 interconnecting utopic beaches, while still offering all of the great facilities and amenities to make a perfect beach day. A representative will greet you on the pier outside of your ship and direct you to Norwegian’s direct tender to St. George’s. Once you arrive in St. George’s, you will be greeted by a charismatic and knowledgeable local guide and escorted onto comfortable mini buses. From there, you will be treated to a guided sightseeing tour on the way to Clearwater Beach in St. David's. When you arrive at Clearwater beach, this will be your base and you will be given an orientation on the facilities of Clearwater, as well as the locations of the 5 other walkable beaches in the area. Board a safari vehicle for a scenic drive down the coast to observe thousands of breeding gannets and catch amazing views across Hawke’s Bay. This unique excursion carries you out to a dramatic promontory where the 4,500-acre private farm known as Cape Kidnappers Station borders on the world’s largest and most-accessible mainland nesting place for gannets. These handsome, quirky members of the booby family nest high on the sea cliffs and are famous for the ritualized recognition dance performed by mating partners who pair up for life. Skilled anglers, they swoop and dive for fish in the water below, preen on the rocks, and generally make themselves fascinating to watch – especially in these large numbers. To reach their remote domain, you’ll be driven across the farm’s river beds, rolling pastures, steep gullies and breathtaking inclines to within a few feet of the Cape Kidnappers sanctuary. Art Deco was all the rage in the U.S. and Europe in 1931 when a severe earthquake struck here, leveling much of the town. With an entire metropolis to rebuild, Napier embraced this whimsically streamlined architectural style and went to work. Today, the heritage sections of the city feel like a 1930s-era film set – except real. You’ll travel by coach to Ahuriri, the character-filled port district where Napier began, stopping by the landmark National Tobacco Company building for photos, and spin along the streets of Marewa, Napier’s charming Art Deco residential neighborhood. A drive down Marine Parade, lined with rows of Norfolk Pines leads to the Art Deco Shop, where you’ll learn more about Napier’s history with a brief film presentation, then set off on a leisurely guided half-mile stroll through the official Art Deco Quarter. You’ll marvel at its eclectic mix of period buildings in the Spanish Mission, Stripped Classical and, of course, streamlined Art Deco styles – and step inside the old AMP Building and ASB Bank for interior inspections.

Travelling through Jamaica's beautiful countryside, you'll drive past some historic sites and districts on the way to Dunn's River Falls. Described as a living and growing phenomenon, the waterfall continuously regenerates itself from deposits of travertine rock, the result of precipitation of calcium carbonate from the river, as it flows over the falls. The small dome-shaped cataracts are usually associated with thermal spring activity found in limestone caves. Experience the thrill of climbing the waterfall, in a human chain led by experienced Falls Guides. Pause at the 'massage parlour' and experience the soothing effects of the water as it cascades over the rocks, to the sea.

For the less adventurous, view the activities of the more intrepid from the "safe" vantage point of the terrace or deck. For those who enjoy Mother Nature’s gifts, lose yourself in the lush tropical foliage of ferns, bamboos, ginger lilies, crotons, orchids, a variety of palms and breadfruit trees. Three-and-a half miles from St. George’s is the family owned De La Grenade Industries, producer of jams and jellies, the “prize winning” Nutmeg Syrup and De La Grenade Liqueur. Find yourself engulfed in the aroma of the spices as you visit the herb and spice gardens. These gardens produce herbs and medicinal plants, some of which are exported. Visit La Sagesse Farm for a taste of the exotic island juices they produce.

Enjoy a scenic drive to the historic town of Falmouth, where you’ll see St. Peter’s Anglican Church, one of the oldest and largest Anglican churches in Jamaica. Depart the pier in Laem Chabang for the scenic drive into Bangkok. Your tour of Old Bangkok will begin with a stop at Wat Suthat, easily identified by the famous giant swing in front of the temple. During your visit, you will see a renowned collection of old murals from the reign of King Rama III (1824-1851) housed inside the main building, along with a splendid array of gilded Buddha images.

Next, you will proceed to a local hotel for a buffet lunch, then continue on for a sightseeing drive past the Democracy Monument.

After departing from the pier in an open-air train trolley, you will soon arrive in the heart of the Royal Naval Dockyard. Known as the “Gibraltar of the West,” the dockyard played a vital role in War of 1812 and both World Wars. As you ride the trolley through the streets, the conductor will entertain you with colorful anecdotes and fascinating facts about the history and architecture of the dockyard. Along the way, you will pass the Royal Navy Cemetery, which dates back to 1812. Other points of interest include Lagoon Park, whose mangroves support a thriving population of birds, and Somerset Village, a residential area on Somerset Island that was settled centuries ago.

The tour ends back at the pier. However, as an alternative, the conductor will drop you at Clock Tower Mall to browse the shops and then you may return to the pier later on your own.

Board the Seaworld Explorer semi-submarine and sit in air-conditioned comfort five feet below the surface of the water. View sea life through large windows and see tropical fish such as Yellowtail Snapper, Sergeant Majors, Parrotfish and Queen Angelfish, as well as delicate colonies of coral. Watch through your private window as a diver is surrounded by hungry fish that he feeds by hand.

Once back on land, you'll cross the Queen Juliana Bridge for a view of Willemstad from 200 feet above the town- a magnificent vista of the capital and the famous Queen Emma Pontoon Bridge, which provides a pedestrian link between the Otrobanda and Punda districts. This full day tour covers some of Penang's most notable attractions beginning with a scenic drive to Kek Lok Si Temple, one of the largest temple in Southeast Asia. Built in tiers and on a hilly slope for amazing views, this sprawling temple complex is dominated by the magnificent seven-story Pagoda of Ten Thousand Buddhas and the enormous bronze statue of the Goddess Kuan Yin. You’ll visit a butterfly farm with landscaped gardens, inviting ponds and waterfalls that are home to over 100 species of whimsical butterflies that roam freely within a natural habitat. A brief stop is made at one of the area's fruit stalls giving you a first-hand look at the vast variety of local fruits and spices grown on the island.

See the other facade of Penang, the tranquil Malay Villages, called Kampung. Head south, along the coastal road to view one of the largest bridges in the world, the Penang Bridge.

After your transfer into town, begin with a short panoramic drive of the city. Continue to Gamla Stan, the enchanting, medieval Old Town. You’ll pass the Royal Palace and the dramatic royal theater as you drive to the island of Djurgarden, home of the Vasa Museum.

In the Vasa Museum, you’ll see the Swedish warship ‘Vasa’, once considered the pride of Sweden’s navy. The present museum is built around the restored 17th century warship, which sank in Stockholm’s inner harbor on her maiden voyage in 1628. It was salvaged in 1961 with more than 12,000 objects on board and is one of the most important events in marine archaeology.

Continue on your panoramic drive to Ostermalm, a fashionable neighborhood of stately apartment buildings, then on to Sergel’s Torg, a square that is the focal point of modern Stockholm and the old town, where your guide will lead you on a walk through its cobbled streets, followed by a few minutes of free time to take some pictures or explore a bit on your own, before the return drive to Nynashamn.

Uncover Thai history with a visit to the Ancient City where you’ll find fascinating reproductions displaying authentic buildings, communities and villages throughout the grounds of the immense park. Built on a 200-acre site, the Ancient City is like an open book of Thai history that allows visitors to gain a view of the real Thailand. You’ll see the numerous reproductions of palace halls, temples, stupas, stone sanctuaries and traditional houses. You can also see several reconstructed historical buildings, authenticated communities with their daily chores and sample villages from all regions of the country. Due to the enormous size of this fascinating attraction, you’ll view most of the city from the local tram, although some stops will be made along the way for interior or close-up looks at some of the sites such as the Old Market Town, Khao Phra Vihan, Sanphet Prasart Palace, and the Floating Market.

Drive through the capital of St. George’s, passing Government House, St. Paul’s and on to the parish of St. David’s, where plantations of cocoa and spices can be seen. At Marquis, the brightly painted fishing boats dot the beaches and the local people weave the pandanus grasses into crafts. Your next stop is L'Esterre Estate. From L'Esterre Estate, you’ll proceed to the National Park Nature Center at Grand Etang. Grand Etang languishes at 1,900 feet in the crater of an extinct volcano. Descend on a fern-fringed road to Annandale, where a short and steep walk brings you to a green paradise of rushing water and hanging ferns.

Explore Jamaica’s rugged interior in a 4x4 vehicle before arriving at a remote waterfall where you can thoroughly relax. The safari-style truck is open-air to offer unobstructed views of the jungle-like mountainous terrain. As you travel through isolated areas that few visitors to the island ever see, you will get a genuine feel for rural life. You will also gain insight into Jamaica’s history by passing the ruins of an 18th-century sugar factory and a former slave hospital that was converted into a church in 1846. Embark on a wildlife riverboat adventure, complete with a canvas top, where you’ll be greeted by the riverboats captain, be comfortably seated, and set to the journey as the first-mate casts-off from the dock and your captain heads out to sea and along the coast. Enjoy the scenic ride along the seafront while your guide provides you with a brief history of Belize City and its vibrant past.

You’ll enter the mouth of the Belize River after an approximately 20 minute journey, where you’ll cruise slowly along the calm waters, adjacent to the jungle covered river bank, in pursuit of the many different species of wildlife. Your guide will provide you with bird and animal identification cards and help you keep a sharp look-out for crocodiles, manatees, and iguanas, numerous species of colorful birds and even on occasion, a playful dolphin or two that have come up the river in search of a meal. Once wildlife is spotted, your captain will bring you as close as possible for a better view and photo opportunities.

You’ll learn about some of the Belizean bush medicine remedies that have been used by the Mayan, the Bushmen who have worked these jungles for centuries and about some the tropical tree species and other tropical flora found growing along the riverbanks. On the return journey, your attentive crew will serve you a complementary rum punch or non-alcoholic fruit punch, while you listen to rhythmic Caribbean vibes.

The islands of Malta are home to eleven prehistoric monuments, seven of which comprise a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Today you’ll visit the Temples of Tarxien and Hagar Quim and the caves of Ghar Dalam where you’ll discover Malta’s prehistoric past. A scenic drive takes you to to Tarxien where you’ll visit the Tarxien Temples. They are renowned for the detail of their carvings, which include domestic animals carved in relief, altars, and screens decorated with spiral designs and other patterns.

Head to the southern part of the island to see some of the most unique prehistoric monuments in the world, at the temple of Hagar Quim. Learn about Malta’s origins when you visit the underground caves in Ghar Dalam. Here, the first traces of life on the island date back 180,000 years. Fossilized remains of animals found here, date back to the last glacial period. Before returning to Valetta, you’ll make a short stop for photos at the colorful fishing village of Marsaxlokk.

The Discover Island Tour combines an interesting look at the countryside of Curacao and the city of Willemstad and a visit to three of the major attractions of this Dutch island.

Drive past the salt flats and flamingoes before proceeding to the spectacular Hato Caves, a dramatic collection of grottos filled with stalactites, stalagmites and crystal-clear pools, centuries in the making.

From the Hato Caves you continue to the Curacao Museum in Otrabanda. The museum combines contemporary art with an exhibition of life in Curacao during the mid-nineteenth century. Next, your guide will point out major points of interest as you drive through Punda in the heart of Willemstad. If you wish to stay in town, you may leave the tour at this point; otherwise it is a short five-minute drive back to the ship.

Drive through the town of St. George’s over Old Fort Road and on to Morne Jaloux Ridge, passing Fort Frederick. Continue over the Morne Jaloux Ridge through Woburn and Grand Anse Valley, True Blue and Point Salines International Airport. Construction of the airport began in 1979 by the Cubans and was completed in 1984 by the British and US. From Point Salines, you’ll proceed to Grand Anse, Morne Rouge on to Quarantine Station for a photo stop.

From the pier, a scenic drive takes you to Rose Hall Great House, an outstanding relic of colonial times with a fascinating and detailed history of dark rumor and intrigue. The story of Annee Palmer, the mistress of Rose Hall Great House, is not easily forgotten! It is said that Annee Palmer had three husbands during her reign as mistress of the Rose Hall Plantation and each of them died a sudden and violent death. She gained a reputation for extreme cruelty and her nickname “White Witch of Rose Hall”. Annie was feared by the slaves who lived on and worked the plantation. She ruled with an iron fist, and defiance or even perceived insolence was answered with public whippings, torture in the dungeon, or even death.

According to local legend, Annee’s restless spirit still roams the grounds, following her untimely death at the hands of a cunning slave. After settling into your seat, the spectacle will begin with gusto. You will instantly recognize rhythms from other parts of the world that have influenced Puerto Rican music and dance. Many of the steps and sounds originated in Cuba, Brazil, the Dominican Republic and other Latin American countries.

You may notice African beats and a passion typically associated with Spain’s flamenco. The dancers will perform the mambo, which was invented in Havana in the 1930s, and the samba, a dance style from West Africa.

You will also enjoy parts of the show dedicated to La Plena, a genre of music and dance indigenous to Puerto Rico. Tambourines are the principal instruments in La Plena, although other instruments such as congas, trombones and guitars are often played.

In this folkloric show, the featured guitarist will be Juan Carlos, an entertainer that has traveled the world playing flamenco and singing in his distinct baritone voice.

This tour visits the amazing Knossos archaeological site, proving the existence of the Minoan civilization. The Palace of Knossos was the largest and most spectacular of Minoan palaces. It was the court of the legendary King Minos, father of the mythological Minotaur, half-bull, half-man. The original palace was built around 2,000 B.C., and after being destroyed by an earthquake, was replaced with a more complex one, which strongly resembled a labyrinth. Your guided tour will take you through the marvelous ruins of the ancient complex, restored by Sir Arthur Evans. His work has been criticized by some for its modernity, but it does help you visualize the palace as it was, when it served as the administrative center for the region. There will be over an hour of free time for you to stroll at leisure in the town of Heraklion. Perhaps visit the Fountain of Morosini near the colorful fruit and vegetable market, or shop for some Cretan souvenirs.

Your leisurely drive inland toward Mount Dial Nature Recreation Area traverses idyllic terrain and scattered villages where life has changed little over the centuries. Once at Wings Wildlife Park, you’ll have ample free time to ramble the trails and encounter famous fauna like the Tasmanian devil and Australia’s trademark kangaroo, as well as obscure ones like the bettong, a tiny marsupial that hops around like a mini-kangaroo. Other strange and unfamiliar creatures who call the park home include boobook owls, crab-eating macaques, quolls and long-nosed potoroos. Somehow, even American bison and Japanese quail are on the resident list. The more you learn about this immense menagerie of Tasmanian wildlife and their behaviors, the more interesting they seem. Back in Burnie, you’ll enjoy a downtown drive before returning to the pier. Founded in 1828 around an excellent natural harbor on Emu Bay and surrounded by vast eucalyptus forests, the timber industry dominated the town for the next 100 years. Today, the creative arts and culinary endeavors are what Burnie is most known for.

Within the gorge there is a series of large trees and certain features; prominent boulders and a rock pool. The gorge offers a shaded area with interesting plants with a range of wild fruits, vines, mosses and lichens. Mineral water is available at several water stations through the tour. Head to the Chijin Old Street for a glimpse of daily life in Kaohsiung and where the city was first developed. Colorful, ornate temples such as the 300-year-old Tian Ho abound, and the many small shops are always abuzz. As you stroll along the street exploring the many sights, shops and stands, you will no doubt feel the friendly townspeople and the inviting ambience that is found here.
