OVERVIEW

Discover the elegance of The Red Collection, where refined touches elevate your tour experience into a memorable journey. Snorkel the shipwreck of a freighter that has become an artificial reef teeming with tropical fish and sea turtles. This premier snorkeling site lies off Buck Island, a naturally beautiful oasis that is a national wildlife refuge. You will cruise there on a luxury catamaran with plenty of room to move around and a spacious deck for sunbathing. In time, you will reach Shipwreck Cove, which is named for a ship that was scuttled there in 1979. A few years later, Hurricane Hugo broke the ship into three pieces and pushed it into shallower water. While snorkeling, you can expect to see snapper, blue tangs and parrotfish of every imaginable neon color. Sea turtles also inhabit these waters, the most common species being green and hawksbill turtles. It is easy to differentiate between the species, as green sea turtles weigh as much as 500 pounds and are typically twice the size of hawksbills.
