Cave & Mangrove Exploration

OVERVIEW

The adventure begins leaving directly from the ship by boat and going navigating the beautiful Samaná bay for a breathtaking journey to the secluded ¨Los Haitises¨ National Park. At the National Park you will be able to enjoy the view of a wide variety of endemic birds such as Pelicans, Swallows, Vultures and others as well as different ecosystems and swamps that make this place a perfect destination for an ecotourism experience. Then we sail on to Bird Cay which is famous for the large number of species of birds which call this island home. American frigates, Pelicans and Vultures all live in harmony on this small cay. This ecological park contains the greatest potential for underwater rivers, creating a mixture of fresh sea water where many animals live. Its exuberant vegetation will lead us on a journey towards amazing caves. We will visit 2 interesting caves (Caves line and Caves San Gabriel) where your guide will show you the original Petroglyphs which were left behind by the Taino Indians and which dates back to around 3000 years. Great’s moments wait you at our unforgettable Samaná National Park.
