Duración 4 1/2 hs.
Sample a wide selection of locally made, characteristically Greek products that includes cheese, yogurt, beer and organic dishes with fresh, seasonal ingredients.
After departing from the pier, you will soon arrive at a dairy that produces several types of traditional Greek yogurt and cheese. You might be served a soft tyrovolia cheese that is often added to salads and perhaps xinotyro, a cheese whose flavor varies depending on how long it matures. The yogurt is typically made with milk from free-grazing sheep or cows.
Although Mykonos isn’t well known for its craft beer, you will visit a small brewery hoping to change that perception. While touring Mykonos Brewing Company, you will sample beers such as the flagship Mikonu blonde ale, which is known for its distinct fruity aromas, and a hoppy pale ale, which features a light sweet flavor offset by its mildly bitter hops. Both are unique offerings, as the other breweries on Mykonos primarily produce lagers.
Another wonderful tasting awaits you at Farma Mykonos, the first farm-to-table restaurant on the island. While enjoying the restaurant’s seaside locale at Ftelia Beach, you can expect to sample a variety of delicious dishes made with organic ingredients.
The menu may include salads with vegetables from the on-site orchard, locally sources grilled meats and dishes such as Ladenia pie. You might also sample an inspired dessert such as crispy doughnuts sprinkled with Greek honey and walnuts before returning to the pier.
